Val has over 20 years of experience in the health industry with an irrefutable passion for wellness, disease prevention and population health management. She has managed, designed and developed countless wellness programs and initiatives that have improved population health and resulted in a positive ROI for thousands of employers throughout her career.

Val has a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (Exercise Physiology), a master’s degree in Education from Boston University and a master’s degree in Public Health from UCLA, making her a long-time learner and expert in her field. She was the official speaker for the American Diabetes Association in Rhode Island from 2007-2011 and has presented at several conferences including Wellness Workdays, the American Journal of Health Promotion and the World Research Group.She has provided certification courses for personal trainers through the American College of Sports Medicine and is an active member of HERO (Health Enhancement Research Organization) where she has been an integral member of many committees including Health, Productivity and Performance, and Culture of Health and Engagement Committees.
