Newton, MA. (July 18, 2017) — EBS is excited to announce the hiring of Chelsey Covitz, Jasmit Anand and Marah Funder as new employees and valuable contributing members.
Chelsey Covitz comes to EBS from Sapers & Wallack in Newton, MA after three years as a Benefits Analyst with the Group department. She is experienced in the design, administration and servicing of client health and welfare programs. Chelsey also has a strong background in reporting, quoting, data management and claims analyzation. Her previous experience and industry knowledge will be extremely valuable to EBS clients.
Chelsey obtained her MA Resident Producer License in February 2017 and her Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Michael’s College where she majored in Accounting.
Jasmit Anand joins EBS with over 10 years of underwriting experience. Previously on the dental underwriting team for Aetna, she managed a book of business consisting of professional employer organizations, middle-market and national account customers. She was also responsible for managing dental strategic projects, focusing on actuarial collaborations and sales enablement strategies. Jasmit started her career at Aetna on the medical underwriting team where she evaluated claims experience to develop necessary rates for medical new business prospects for various funding arrangements. She used her extensive knowledge of Aetna’s Medical products and competitors to negotiate rates and offer benefit recommendations. Prior to Aetna, Jasmit worked at Cigna on the dental underwriting team where she managed a book of business of middle-market customers and focused on attaining profitable growth, retention and earnings. Her previous experience will be a tremendous asset to EBS clients as she empowers them to make the best financial and business decisions possible.
Jasmit earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Eastern CT State University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Hartford.
Marah Funder joins EBS after spending almost 9 years working her way through the ranks at Second Time Around. She managed the Beacon Hill store for over 5 years where she spearheaded multiple hiring and training programs for 43 store locations and worked hard for her store location to become the most profitable store in the company 5 years in a row. She then moved to a position as a social media manager for a local jewelry store before returning to her roots at Second Time Around with a dual position as both the office manager and customer service manager. Her knack for operational efficiencies and marketing prowess will be of indispensable value to the EBS team and to our core audiences.
Marah obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing and Literature from Emmanuel College.
